^ I'm not sure if you can tell but the mist over the water is actually water getting picked up from the wind and blown across the top of the surface

Annnnndddddd more pictures from driving. I didn't realize how many I took while we were on the road until I went back and sorted through them. This was another day where I took a lot of pictures of random roadside waterfalls, landscapes, etc. A majority of the day it was storming. Okay, that's an understatement. It was storming like you wouldn't believe!!!! Of course it was on our biggest travel day thus far. 30mph winds at least were rocking our little car, when we crossed over bridges between fjords (over the ocean) the wind was so powerful it was sweeping up the top layer of the water and hurling it at the side of the car. Michael was driving with two hands and it was physically enduring. He was just focusing on keeping the damn car on the road! Also we were totally unprepared for the fact that there were dirt roads in the Westfjords. Butttt not like back home dirt roads- these roads winded up steep, STEEEEEPPP cliff sides, traversed the top of mountains, etc. and keep in mind this is all happening with intense rain and wind around us. Periodically it would lighten up and the skies would just be overcast but when it was raining, it was pouring.

Anyways I loved Iceland's landscapes. I could drive for hours just taking in the scenery passing by and not get bored. The country is seriously so beautiful. Despite the insane weather this day it was one of my favorite days driving by far.
