Last week I decided to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway for 70 miles after I hiked Devil's Marbleyard. I had a lot of time to burn so I hopped on the BRP around MP 70 and cruised up north to the very beginning at MP 1. The drive is gorgeous. There definitely are not as many opportunities to stop at outlooks as there are on Skyline Drive but the views have bigger mountains, waterfalls, mountains running into rivers (the James), places to pull over and relax by creeks and much much more. If you're ever driving south and have some extra time, I highly recommend take the Blue Ridge Parkway for a portion of your trip. My goal is to drive a majority of the parkway in the next year or two.

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!
