This warmer weather recently has been wonderful but I will admit, there are sometimes when I love the freezing cold, especially when I'm outdoors for the day. But an Indian summer is, of course, always welcome. Michael's brother was back in town for his Thanksgiving break so we took off to Shenandoah National Park to spend the day fly fishing. The Robinson River is more well known because you hike beside it on the way to White Oak Canyon. Michael and I read a few reviews of the river and saw some pictures of nice brook trout that other anglers have pulled out of the river so we wanted to give it a shot. Unfortunately, the hike is just too crowded and there are dogs that run in and out of the river as well as loud voices, kids yelling, etc. I'm sure the fish were mostly spooked. Fish or not, the river is seriously gorgeous with a lot of plunge pools and deeper rapids. On top of that the weather, as mentioned, was absolutely gorgeous. I'm becoming slightly obsessed with the sport and I can't wait to learn more!
