I've definitely said this before but I'll say it again, fly fishing has to be one of the coolest hobbies I've ever watched. Michael has been fly fishing since he was a little kid and watching him do it is so... graceful? I almost can't explain it... It's very tranquil and calculated and I can't wait to learn! I love that both of our hobbies work so well together. But anyways, the other weekend we hiked Spy Rock and afterwards we spent the afternoon fly fishing. We started near Crabtree Falls on the Tye River and gradually worked our way down towards Tyro, Virginia. The water levels were great and Michael caught a brookie. Trout are seriously so beautiful it's so hard to let them go because I just want to stare at them forever. Weird? Oh well. We're headed back out to fly fish in two weekends. Michael's brother will be home (who has also been fly fishing his whole life), and we're all going to go out to test our luck in Shenandoah National Park.
