While in Yellowstone National Park we decided to jump off the main road and do a little hike to Artists Paintpots. Artists Paintpots is an unusual little hydrothermal basin with stunning landscapes full of color and diversity. The landscape is constantly changing and little geothermal pools pop up and go away with no schedule. We wandered around the trail that winds through the unique areas and observed all different colors of water, mud bubbling and steam rising from cracks in the earth! The area is called "Artists Painpots" because artists from all over the United States and world have visited this area to try and capture the wild landscape and colors into different medias of art. Pretty neat, huh?
